TOURNESOL
Tournesol was originally one of two stone built farmhouses on this farm, and has been converted into a spacious holiday residence, providing up to date facilities in a traditional setting.
The property is entered across a private terrace which has far reaching views across the Viaur valley. The terrace is equipped with a table and set seating for 6, and has its own barbecue. The ironwork canopy provides welcome shade from the sun, and outdoor lighting provides the ideal ambiance for al fresco dining.
Through the front door you find yourself in the heart of the property - the spacious kitchen/diner. The kitchen (5m x 4.5m) is fully fitted and equipped to make self-catering both easy and pleasurable. There is plenty of cupboard storage space, a full electric oven, gas hob and extractor fan. There is also a microwave oven and the all important dishwasher! The kitchen is supplied with all the necessary implements to allow you to actually cook, with ample tableware and cutlery including plasticware for children and for picnic use. The large table seats 6 easily with room for a high chair for small children, available on request. We also supply basic materials such as cling film, aluminium foil, herbs and spices, so you aren't having to spend unnecessary money on items that will get little use.
Passing through the kitchen you enter the lounge (5m x 3.5m) complete with a log-burner, ideal for the colder months of the year. Here there is ample comfortable seating for 6, a Television and CD/DVD player. Satellite TV currently provides all UK free-to-air channels, including the all important CBBC and cbeebies for the children. There is also a number of videos and games for you to play.
Alongside the lounge you will find the unique hydro-wetroom (2.5m x 1.5m) which provides an amazing showering experience. The shower column provides a traditional shower head as well as a hydro massage jets, and has a handy body and hair shower spray attachment. Showering the whole family quickly and efficiently has never been such fun! Ideal for when children have clambered out of the swimming pool and need to get ready quickly. There is also a convenient ground floor WC.
Sleeping accommodation is on the upper floor, reached by the original wooden staircase, located to the side of the kitchen/diner.
The master bedroom (5m x 3.5m) is designed to offer comfort and tranquility. Kept minimalistic, but steeped in character with exposed stone walls and ceiling beams, it provides a cool and welcome retreat. A large built-in wardrobe and closet facility ensures ample space to store your holiday clothes and luggage out of sight. There is plenty of space to put a cot or child's bed in this room, available on request.
Bedroom 2 (4.7m x 4m) is fitted with 3 full-size single beds. Here, exposed walls and ceiling beams add to the character of the room and the two window bays offer far-reaching views over the surrounding area. There are two sets of drawers in this room and a large storage chest - ideal for storing children's toys, drawing equipment, etc. The room also has a large fitted wardrobe with ample hanging space for clothes. This room is very large and a fourth bed can be added on requested.
The main bathroom is also upstairs (2.2m x 1.5m), conveniently close for both bedrooms. Fully tiled, it is a practical family bathroom for coping with young children, or for those who simply prefer a long soak!
Bathing and pool towels are provided free of charge. Fresh bed linen is offered weekly for those parties staying long than one week. Laundry facilities are provided in a separate building and is shared between the 3 properties. There is plenty of line space for drying towels and clothes.
There is a communal games store on site that is available to all guests. You can currently enjoy a few games of table tennis or table football to pass the time.
Wireless internet is also offered free of charge on site, although this is rural France so connection speeds leave a little to be desired! Should be more than adequate for checking your email and browsing web sites.
In order to capture as much of each room as possible in a photograph it is necessary to use a wide-angle lens and rooms may sometimes appear larger than they are. Please refer to measurements for clarity. If you have any questions about Tournesol, please don't hesitate to contact us and we will be glad to help.
